FWO Inspectors to visit Griffith

The Fair Work Ombudsman (“the FWO”) has advised that they will be conducting an educational visit at Griffith in the NSW Riverina this week.

During the visit, the inspectors will be available to answer questions from workers about their pay and work conditions and provide information to employers about their rights and obligations.

AHA (NSW) members may wish to take advantage of this opportunity.

An information booth will operate at the Griffith City Council Library at the following times:

  • 2pm-6pm, Thursday 26 April 2012, and
  • 10am-12pm, Friday 27 April 2012.

Fair Work Ombudsman Nicholas Wilson says the visit is aimed at assisting employers and employees to understand national workplace laws, including the National Employment Standards and Modern Awards.
