Responsible Conduct of Gambling SITHGAM006A

The Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) program has been developed to provide recognition to and understanding of community issues relating to gambling.

Legislation now requires all people working in gaming areas of hotels and registered clubs to complete an approved course in order to continue employment. Prospective employees must complete the RCG course prior to the commencement of working in gaming areas.

Who Should Attend

Regulations require all secretaries of registered clubs gaming machines, all hoteliers with gaming machines and employees of registered clubs and hotels whose duties are concerned in the conduct of gaming machine activities.

Course Information & Assessment

The RCG course is a competency based 6-hour program. An Interim Certificate is issued on completion of the course. This interim certificate is required to be presented at an Australia Post outlet for the purposes of obtaining the photo competency card. Participants also receive a handbook for future reference.

  • Identifying the context of gambling in NSW
  • Indicators and impact of problem gambling
  • Legislative framework for Responsible Conduct of Gambling
  • Responsible Conduct of Gambling strategies
  • Benefits of implementing Responsible Conduct of Gambling practices
