Food Safety Supervisor

NSW Food Authority Approval No: 24226

The new legislation, Food Amendment (Food Safety Supervisors) Act 2009, will require hotels to have at least one accredited Food Safety Supervisor by 1 October 2011 and appropriately trained staff in their venue.

The AHA (NSW) 1 day Food Safety Supervisor Course is designed to meet the necessary requirements for the NSW Food Authority guidelines for the award of Food Safety Supervisor Certificate and nationally accredited Statement of Attainments for:

Follow Workplace Hygiene Procedures– SITXOHS002A

Implement Food Safety Procedures– SITXFSA001A

This unit of competency is included in the Hospitality Training Package SIT07 and is recognised towards completion of a certificate qualification.

Assessment: You will have a set of assessment tasks which include pre-reading, industry-based case studies, short answer questions and a demonstration of practical skills which need to be observed in a work or simulated workplace.
