As plans for romance this Valentine's Day shape up, Minister for Tourism Jodi McKay is encouraging couples to make a weekend of it with some fantastic options in Sydney and around the State.

"The fact that Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday this year is a great excuse to treat your loved one to a weekend full of romance and there are plenty of options in Sydney and NSW," Ms McKay said.

"Sydney is one of the world's most romantic cities, with its beautiful harbour, secluded beaches and spectacular luxury dining and accommodation options."

Right around the State, couples can enjoy a beautiful weekend together with some fantastic hotels, boutique stays, award winning restaurants and spectacular natural scenery.

"NSW is blessed with luxury experiences that can help to keep the romance alove any day of the year from a hot air balloon ride, fine dining, a wine tour, or even just a romantic walk by the beach," Ms McKay said.
