AHA (NSW) encourages music fans to have fun and celebrate safely

14 Jan 2010

The Australian Hotels Association (NSW) is encouraging music fans attending this year’s Tamworth Country Music Festival to have fun, but to do so safely and responsibly.

Police and Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing (OLGR) inspectors will be out in force in and around Tamworth’s CBD for the duration of the festival, which kicks off tomorrow and runs until Sunday 24 January 2010.

“Thousands of country music fans attend this music festival each year, which is the largest public entertainment event outside of Sydney,” said AHA (NSW) Director, Policing and Regulatory Relations John Green.

“The AHA (NSW) is encouraging patrons to behave responsibly in and around licensed premises. The AHA (NSW) will work with both police and the OLGR to ensure festival-goers have a safe and enjoyable time.”

Note to editors: John Green will be available for media comment in Tamworth from Thursday 21 January to Sunday 24 January 2010.
