TAB standard guidelines (NSW Licensed Venues)

15 Dec 2009

Valid as of October 2009 - Version 2

There has been some concern that 100 percent of All Consumables are now payable by the venue.

That is, all stationery, including mark sense cards, thermal paper rolls, paper, toner, pens and staples etc which are purchased from the TAB nominated suppliers for the provision of Wagering Services.

As you are aware, venues pay for all consumables ordered through Moore’s except for the mark sense cards. To this end, the AHA (NSW) has negotiated the TAB Operating Allowance (variable), second line item under Remuneration which has been calculated at 0.075 percent across all operations excluding Standard and of course, Kiosk.

This addition remuneration has been calculated to offset the cost of all consumables and where the mark sense cards are managed efficiently there should be savings for the venue on the consumables once paid for.

If your venue qualifies for an Electronic Betting Terminal, now is the time to educate your patrons on its operation to further increase your savings on consumables and reduce you staffing requirements.

For further information, speak to your local BDM or contact Pat Gurr, AHA (NSW) Vice President and Chair of the TAB working party on 0418 700 245.
