| 06 Jan 2010 |
The Australian Hotels Association (NSW) today welcomed the launch of the NSW Master Events Calendar for 2010, which is expected to deliver $500 million into the New South Wales economy.
Launched by Premier Kristina Keneally, NSW will have a world-class line-up of events that will help drive tourism and investment across the State this year. The events kicked off with Vivacity, New Year in Sydney on 1 January 2010.
“The Master Events Calendar launched today further highlights the State Government’s pro-active approach in promoting Sydney as Australia’s global city and NSW as the Premier State. As an industry partner, the AHA (NSW) is right behind this exciting line-up of events for our vivacious city and for the whole of the State,” said AHA (NSW) CEO Sally Fielke.
“NSW hotels will be at the forefront of this and will continue to host locals and visitors in a welcoming and safe environment, dishing up some of the best rooms, food and entertainment on offer right across the State.”
“Furthermore, the ongoing promotion of Sydney and NSW will continue to help attract both domestic and international visitors, providing a boost for the local economy and tourism industry,”
