The Time Out Sydney Bar Awards for 2009 were held earlier this week and the AHA (NSW) would like to congratulate members Ivy, the Beresford Hotel, The Australian Hotel and Hotel Hollywood for their top honours.

Ivy was named Bar of the Year and also named Best Designed Bar, while The Australian Hotel was awarded Best Pub, with the Lord Dudley Hotel runner-up.

The Beresford Hotel was awarded Best New Bar but the biggest cheer of the night, however, went to Doris Goddard. Oowner of Hotel Hollywood, Doris got on stage to accept the Hall of Fame Award to a deafening applause and told the audience the reception reminded her of her showbiz days.
